WELCOME to the New London
Hills Swimming and Diving team website
We are in the process of setting up the online home for New London Swimming. The schedule should be fixed shortly, and you will be able to find
MapQuest directions to all of the away meets (once we get the actual addresses for the pools). Please feel free to submit pictures for the photo gallery; I will upload them as the season goes on.
After each meet we will be posting results to this site, so check back often to see times and scores.

We had quite a few good swims last night, as well as three new records. We'll get the count of new best times later today, but I'm happy to be able to announce the new records now. Ali Salyers set a new team record in the 13-15 girls 50 backstroke with a time of 30.01, and was also part of the 13-14 girls 200 freestyle relay team(Jamie Jones, Paige Kranbuhl, Salyers, and Brandi Sauerwine) which broke the team record set last year by over a second. The 13-14 girls relay also set a new NLH Pool Record with a time of 1:52.71. Samira Wehmann also set a new team record in the 8&Under 25 yard backstroke with a time of 18.22, bettering her pervious record by just over half a second. Congratulations, girls!

More important than the team scores were the 113 new season's best times we recorded last night! Congratulations to everyone who bettered their own times. Thursday's meet will be early again(6:00 warm ups) and we hope to see even faster times as we close in on championships. close

Great job tonight, everyone. We won the meet by a final score of 287 to 257. It was one of the tightest meets we've had in years, but we pulled it out in the end thanks to a lot of great races. The full meet results, along with a top times list for our team, will be posted over the weekend.
We have decided to call off practice tomorrow morning; its a holiday weeked and we've had a couple long cold days. I think everyone will benefit from a little extra rest. Be ready to get going fast Monday because we're coming down to the final stage of our training! close

Practice tomorrow, Friday, July 3rd, will be 9:30-11:00 for 9-10s and up, and from 11:00-11:30 for the 8&Us on down. We expect a light turnout due to the 4th of July holiday, but we encourage everyone who can make it to attend so that we can get in some good work on starts, relay starts, and turns.
Earlier this week we set a new attendance record with 110 swimmers at practice on a single morning. Well done!
Tonight's meet is our last away meet and we expect warm-ups to start right around 7:15. We are going to try to run both the medley and free relays in order to allow everyone to swim more events, but the free relay may get cut if the meet runs too long; so everyone swim fast and help us move things along!
Our meet results from all completed dual meets should be posted soon; we have been having problems with that section of the team website ever since the site was attacked this winter. If you forget any of your times you should be able to see them all as soon as we fix the damage. The league website(bcslonline.com) has a top times list for the entire league that is updated weekly, so if you want to see how you stack up against everyone across the league just pop on over for a look. close
